Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (11-8) defeated on the road 11th ranked Beer Yaakov (6-13) 82-67. The game was mostly controlled by Ironi Ramat Gan. Beer Yaakov was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Tyrone Kent (196-86, college: Toledo) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Amit Tamir (208-79, college: California) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Kent is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ironi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. American forward Jermaine Hall (196-80, college: Wagner) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Joshua Alexander (193-87, college: SF Austin) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Beer Yaakov. Beer Yaakov's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ironi Ramat Gan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Beer Yaakov at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Afula (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beer Yaakov will play against Hapoel Kfar Saba (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
