Leader New Zealand Breakers delivered the twentieth first victory on Thursday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Adelaide 36ers (8-17) 104-79 in Auckland. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Adelaide 36ers. New Zealand Breakers shot 62.1 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Cedric Jackson (191-86, college: Cleveland St.) stepped up and scored 18 points and 4 assists for the winners and Fijian-New Zealand forward Mika Vukona (198-82) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was international point guard Adam Gibson (188-86) with 15 points and 6 assists and the former international swingman Stephen Weigh (198-87) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. New Zealand Breakers (21-3) have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Loser Adelaide 36ers stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost.
