Very predictable result when third ranked Fukuoka Rizing (25-12) beat on the road 10th ranked Gunma (9-28) 88-80 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Gunma was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh) who recorded 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Dominique Keller (203-88, college: Illinois) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Fukuoka Rizing. They maintain third place with 25-12 record behind leader Okinawa GK, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls. Newly promoted Gunma keeps the tenth position with 28 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round. Gunma will play again at home against Fukuoka Rizing (#3).
