Leader Gospic delivered the sixteenth win on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked KK Zadar (7-10) 66-52. Gospic dominated on the defensive end, holding KK Zadar to just 6 points in third quarter. They also forced 20 KK Zadar turnovers and outrebounded them 43-23 including a 22-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Monika Bosilj (178-85, college: FIU) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Ivana Jurcevic (174-81) chipped in 17 points. Forward Davorka Balic (188-88) produced 21 points and forward Lara Nikpalj (180-89) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Gospic (16-1) have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place, which they share with Novi Zagreb. KK Zadar at the other side dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Split. Gospic is looking forward to face Ragusa (#9) in Dubrovnik in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KK Zadar will play on the road against the league's second-placed Lupa Promotion (#2) in Novi Zagreb and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
