Regular Season Round 23: Muggia - Udine 73-57

We should mention about the upset which took place in Muggia, where 7th ranked Udine (12-11) lost to tenth ranked Muggia (9-14) in a road game 57-73. Udine was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 42-24 second half run of Muggia. They outrebounded Udine 42-19 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) who led the winners and scored 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (182-88) accounted for 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Muggia's coach Matjia Jogan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Chiara Rossi (170-88) came up with 17 points and guard Debora Vicenzotti (181-89) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Udine in the defeat. Muggia moved-up to ninth place in North. Udine lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Muggia's next round opponent will be league's second-placed San Martino in San Martino di L and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
