Regular Season Round 19: Dunkerque - Nice 47-67

Date: March 2, 2013
LF2 top team - Nice (18-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Dunkerque (6-12) 67-47. The game was mostly controlled by Nice. Dunkerque was better in fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dunkerque to just 7 points in second quarter. It was a quality performance for forward Fabienne Constant (186-86) who led the winners and scored 16 points. Senegalese center Jeanne Senghor (191-82) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Latvian power forward Dace Brumermane (187-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American center Sabrina Scott (190-81, college: Colorado) added 4 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Dunkerque in the defeat. Nice have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-1 record. Dunkerque at the other side keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. Nice will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dunkerque will play at home against the league's second-placed COB Calais (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
