There was no surprise when 10th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (5-32) were crushed at home by fourth ranked Toyama Grouses (24-13) 78-56 on Saturday. The game without a history. Toyama Grouses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Toyama Grouses outrebounded Miyazaki Shining Suns 49-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican power forward Angel Garcia (209-88, college: Memphis) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga, agency: SDJ Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and American power forward Thomas Fairley (206-82, college: Lamar) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyama Grouses maintains fourth place with 24-13 record. Miyazaki Shining Suns lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 32 games lost. Toyama Grouses will have a break next round.
