Spirou Charleroi (12-6) outlasted Belfius Mons-Hainaut (12-7) in overtime by four points 94-90 on Saturday night. The game took place in Quaregnon. But the guests from Charleroi were better at the end. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Belfius Mons-Hainaut. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Belfius Mons-Hainaut was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 27-21 charge of Spirou Charleroi, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Spirou Charleroi have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Belfius Mons-Hainaut at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Spirou Charleroi will face Liege Basket (#7) in Liege in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play on the road against the league's leader Base Oostende (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
