A very close game took place in Guadalajara between Castello and CB Guadalajara. Ninth ranked Castello (7-11) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked CB Guadalajara (10-8). Castello managed to escape with a 2-point win 71-69 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 28-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Castello made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Strangely CB Guadalajara outrebounded Castello 46-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Albert Ausina (203-81) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Federico Castello (187-79) who added 14 points during the contest. Five Castello players scored in double figures. Center Victor Arteaga (212-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard Sergio Llorente (188-90) scored 15 points and 8 assists. Castello moved-up to eighth place. CB Guadalajara lost fifth consecutive game. CB Guadalajara at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Lan Mobel ISB. Castello will meet at home Cafes Aitona (#10) in the next round. CB Guadalajara will play against Clinicas Rincon (#3) in Malaga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
