Very important is a road loss of third ranked Chalon/Saor (13-8) against tenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (11-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Chalon/Saor was edged by Entente Orleans 45 in a tough game in Orleans 69-71. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American guard Christopher Hill (191-83, college: Michigan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Torrell Martin (196-85, college: Winthrop) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Shelden Williams (206-83, college: Duke) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the former international forward Ilian Evtimov (201-83, college: N.Carolina St.) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Dijon and Nanterre. Defending champion Chalon/Saor keeps the third position with eight games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Sluc Nancy (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Chalon/Saor will play against Limoges CSP Elite (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
