Top ranked Base Oostende (14-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (13-7) 69-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Base Oostende. Base Oostende was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Justin Cage (198-85, college: Xavier, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Power forward Brent Wright (203-78, college: Florida) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Base Oostende's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to third place, which they share with Aalstar. Defending champion Base Oostende still keeps top position with six games lost. Belfius Mons-Hainaut is looking forward to face bottom-ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Base Oostende will play against Okapi Aalstar (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
