Regular Season Round 21: Tychy - WKK Wroclaw 76-88

No shocking result in a game when second ranked WKK Wroclaw (15-4) beat on the road 5th ranked Tychy (11-8) 88-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. WKK Wroclaw led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. WKK Wroclaw outrebounded Tychy 34-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-94) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international swingman Bartosz Diduszko (198-87) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four WKK Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Forward Pawel Olczak (195-81) answered with 29 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Lukasz Bodych (202-90, agency: Promotex) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tychy. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for WKK Wroclaw. They maintain second place with 15-4 record having just -2 point less than leader AZS AWF K-ce. Newly promoted Tychy dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. WKK Wroclaw will face GTK Gliwice (#4) at home in the next round. Tychy will play against the league's leader AZS AWF K-ce in Katowice.
