Date: March 9, 2013
Nova Ves (#4) were upset in Prievidza by seventh ranked Prievidza 95-75. The game was mostly controlled by Prievidza. Nova Ves was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. American point guard Dijuan Harris (175-86, college: Charlotte) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the effort and international Michal Batka (204-87) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Even 26 points and 6 assists by American point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette) did not help to save the game for Nova Ves. His fellow American import center Timothy Frost (208-80, college: Utah) added 21 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 13-17 record. Nova Ves at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 15 games lost. Prievidza will play against league's leader Levice at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nova Ves will play against Nitra (#3) in Nitra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
