Very important is a home loss of third ranked Fukuoka Rizing (26-13) against ninth ranked Osaka Evessa (12-25) on Saturday night. Host Fukuoka Rizing was defeated by Osaka Evessa in a tough game in Fukuoka 113-120. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. Osaka Evessa made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Shota Konno (184-85) who scored 36 points (!!!) and 4 assists. American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) added 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the hosts. Five Osaka Evessa and four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Osaka Evessa moved-up to eighth place. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the third position with 13 games lost. They share it with Iwate Big Bulls. Osaka Evessa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fukuoka Rizing will play again against Osaka Evessa and hope to secure a win.
