No shocking result in a game in Madrid where seventh ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (10-9) won against 10th ranked Leganes (6-13) 70-63. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Leganes won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Alba Garcia (185-92) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Elena De Alfredo (170-94) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Gema Garcia (165-85) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Patricia Valiente (185-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Leganes. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ASEFA Estudiantes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place in Group B. Newly promoted Leganes dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. ASEFA Estudiantes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Real Canoe.
