Quarter-Finals Round 1: Falcon - Amager 88-83 OT

Falcon needed overtime to tame Amager in the first game of the series. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime then Amager managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Falcon who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 16-11. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Amager's 38. They outrebounded Amager 46-33 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Falcon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks for the winners and guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) chipped in 18 points and 4 steals. Falcon's coach Ole Vincents used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side point guard Ida Klussmann (169-93) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Amager players scored in double figures.
