There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Rueil (12-11) won against at home higher ranked Quimper UJAP (14-8) 67-61 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 31-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rueil forced 20 Quimper UJAP turnovers. It was a very good performance for Alexis Desespringalle (192-91) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Karim Gourari (201-89) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Spanish point guard Carlos Cherry (184-79, agency: Global Sports Plaza) answered with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Florian Thibedore (193-90) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Rueil maintains ninth place with 12-11 record. Quimper UJAP lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
