Everything went according to plan when third ranked Pogon Prudnik (13-5) defeated on the road 8th ranked Alba Chorzow (6-14) 89-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Pogon Prudnik. Alba Chorzow was better in third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pogon Prudnik shot 66.7 percent from the field. It was a good game for swingman Marcin Lakis (196-80) who led his team to a victory with 29 points (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Swingman Maciej Lepczynski (193-82) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Tomasz Gembus (198-87) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Filip Czyznielewski (195-91) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Alba Chorzow. Four Alba Chorzow players scored in double figures. Alba Chorzow's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pogon Prudnik maintains third place with 13-5 record having just one points less than leader AZS AWF K-ce. Alba Chorzow lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face Sudety (#5) in Jelenia Gora in the next round.
