Chiba Jets did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 95-76 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shiga L-Stars. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 58-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Chiba Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Marquis Gray (206-86, college: Michigan St.) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Cros.) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets' coach Shinji Tomiyama used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St., agency: Top Notch Sports) scored 16 points and 4 steals. Chiba Jets moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Akita NH and Kyoto Hannar. Loser Shiga L-Stars keep the fourth position with 15 games lost. Chiba Jets will face league's leader Okinawa GK at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
