There was no surprise when 15th ranked Angelico Biella (5-17) lost on the road to first ranked Cimberio Varese (18-4) 92-82 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Cimberio Varese. Angelico Biella was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cimberio Varese forced 19 Angelico Biella turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American swingman Ebi Ere (195-81, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 steals. American guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Five Cimberio Varese players scored in double figures. American forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-83, college: Nevada) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and American-Qatari guard Trey Johnson (196-84, college: Jackson St., agency: Priority Sports) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Angelico Biella. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cimberio Varese maintains first position with 18-4 record. Angelico Biella at the other side dropped to the bottom place with 17 games lost. Cimberio Varese will face league's second-placed Banco di Sard. in Sassari in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
