Regular Season Round 23: Limoges - Chalon 71-74

Thirteenth-ranked Limoges CSP Elite (10-13) gave a tough game to third ranked Chalon/Saor (15-8) on Tuesday. The visitors from Chalon managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 37-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Shelden Williams (206-83, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Blake Schilb (200-83, college: Loyola, IL, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) helped adding 13 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Kyle McAlarney (185-87, college: Notre Dame) scored 14 points. Four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Limoges CSP Elite's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion maintains third place with 15-8 record behind leader Gravelines. Newly promoted Limoges CSP Elite dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Chalon/Saor will face bottom-ranked Poitiers (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Le Mans (#5).
