Siarka Jezioro used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Gdynia 74-60 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 47-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Siarka Jezioro forced 22 Start Gdynia turnovers. Start Gdynia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for forward Jakub Dloniak (192-83, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. American forward Nicchaeus Doaks (202-87, college: Chattanooga, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Bosnian-Israeli center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks and Maciej Kucharek (204-93) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Start Gdynia. Start Gdynia's coach David Dedek rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Start Gdynia still closes the standings with one game lost. Siarka Jezioro will face Polpharma in Starogard in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Start Gdynia will play on the road against Rosa Radom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
