No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Palma (11-9) beat 9th ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (6-13) in S'Arenal 68-64 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-64. Haitian-American center Robert Joseph (204-78, college: Union, TN) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and forward Ivan Matemalas (193-80) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Riley Luettgerodt (196-85, college: Hawaii, agency: I.D.S. Law) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 15 points respectively for Fontedoso Carrefour in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Palma have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Fontedoso Carrefour lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cafes Aitona. Palma will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against the league's leader Oviedo CB (#1) and hope to secure a win.
