There was no surprise when 10th ranked Universidad de Valladolid (5-13) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Maquinaria Ensino (11-7) 69-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Maquinaria Ensino. Universidad de Valladolid was better in fourth quarter 20-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maquinaria Ensino dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Universidad de Valladolid's 36. Maquinaria Ensino forced 19 Universidad de Valladolid turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including 25 on the defensive glass.
