Regular Season Round 23: Nanterre - Dijon 76-80

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked JDA Dijon and 9th ranked JSF Nanterre had identical 11-11 record. But JSF Nanterre was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from JDA Dijon 80-76 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-76. It was a great evening for guard David Melody (184-77) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Jeremy Leloup (202-87) helped adding 21 points. Center Johan Passave-Ducteil (200-85) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American forward Chris Oliver (198-85, college: Radford) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. JDA Dijon (12-11) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Paris-Levallois. Loser JSF Nanterre keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. JDA Dijon will face STB Le Havre (#11) at home in the next round. JSF Nanterre will play against the league's leader Gravelines-Dunkerque and will have a slim chance for a victory.
