The game in Quimper was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Cognac (16-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Quimper UJAP (14-9). Cognac managed to secure a 6-point victory 76-70 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Serbian forward Dejan Sencanski (198-84, college: Abil.Christian) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Ivorian forward Francis Koffi (202-81, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Florian Thibedore (193-90) responded with 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Spanish point guard Carlos Cherry (184-79, agency: Global Sports Plaza) scored 8 points and 9 assists. Cognac moved-up to third place, which they share with Souffel. Quimper UJAP lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Cognac will face league's leader Orchesien BC in Orchies in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quimper UJAP will play on the road against Saint Chamond (#13) and be promoted back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
