Regular Season Round 36: Prievidza - Handlova 92-79

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Prievidza (15-17) beat at home bottom-ranked Handlova (7-25) 92-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Prievidza. Handlova was better in fourth quarter 31-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Prievidza forced 20 Handlova turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Willie Powers (187-89, college: Georgia South) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 assists. The other American import forward Joseph Harris (196-87, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Prievidza's coach Krunoslav Krajnovic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Kevin Bridgewaters (179-84, college: Chattanooga) replied with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 15 for 15 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Ondrej Haviar (194-85) added 19 points in the effort for Handlova. Prievidza have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with B.Bystrica. Handlova lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games.
