Regular Season Round 43: Osaka Evessa - Shinshu BW 86-66

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Shinshu BW (16-25) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Osaka Evessa (14-25) 86-66 on Saturday. Osaka Evessa dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Shinshu BW's 34. American players dominated the game. Forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas) added 10 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Osaka Evessa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 14-25 record. Shinshu BW lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 25 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face again Shinshu BW (#9) in Nagano in the next round.
