This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best AO Ellinikou (17-4) to first ranked Panathinaikos (20-1) 71-68 on Saturday evening. AO Ellinikou trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 26-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-71 at the end of the game. Point guard Aristea Maglara (168-83) stepped up and scored 19 points and 4 assists for the winners and international forward Ioanna Diela (175-90) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Panathinaikos have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-1 record. Newly promoted AO Ellinikou dropped to the third position with four games lost. Panathinaikos are looking forward to face PAOK (#4) in Thessaloniki in the next round.
