Regular Season Round 21: Limoges - Dunkerque 64-67

A very interesting game took place in Limoges. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 11th ranked Limoges (4-15) to tenth ranked Dunkerque (7-13) 67-64 in the game for the tenth place. It looked good early as Limoges took an 14-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dunkerque took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 3 points. They also forced 22 Limoges turnovers. Strangely Limoges outrebounded Dunkerque 46-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Latvian power forward Dace Brumermane (187-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Guard Melissa Micaletto (165-90) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Four Dunkerque players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Thazina Cook (175-88, college: Iona) who recorded 19 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian power forward Iva Grbas (188-87) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Dunkerque maintains tenth place with 7-13 record. Limoges at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Dunkerque's next round opponent will be CFBB (#12) in Paris. Limoges will play on the road against the league's second-placed COB Calais where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
