JBL top team - Aishin Sea Horses (32-8) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked Panasonic Trians (21-19) in Osaka 75-59. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Sea Horses. Panasonic Trians was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Panasonic Trians 43-29 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. The former international forward Shogo Asayama (192-81) chipped in 19 points. American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Hiroyuki Kinoshita (178-80) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Four Panasonic Trians players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 32-8 record. Panasonic Trians at the other side keep the fifth place with 19 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses' next round opponent will be Mitsubishi Dolphins (#6) in Nagoya where they are favorite. Panasonic Trians will play on the road against Tochigi Brex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
