Everything went according to plan when second ranked Shimane Magic (29-13) outplayed on the road 11th ranked Gunma (10-32) 82-60 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 53-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Gunma's 36. They outrebounded Gunma 42-30 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds.
