Regular Season Round 22: FCM Ferentino - Pall.Trento 86-83

A very interesting game took place in Ferentino. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Pall.Trento (9-11) to thirteenth ranked FCM Ferentino (8-12) 86-83 on Sunday evening. It looked good early as Pall.Trento took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then FCM Ferentino had a 18-10 second period charge getting the lead and Pall.Trento was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 83-86. American-British forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four FCM Ferentino players scored in double figures. FCM Ferentino's coach Franco Gramenzi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Luigi Dordei (202-81) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Barry Elder (197-82, college: Georgia Tech) added 20 points respectively for lost side. FCM Ferentino moved-up to twelfth place. Pall.Trento at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. FCM Ferentino's next round opponent will be higher ranked C.de Latte BRE (#4) in Brescia and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
