The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked BC Rakvere (19-9) in Tallinn on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Tln Kalev (7-21) 89-71. The game was mostly controlled by Tln Kalev. BC Rakvere managed to win second period 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Madis Parn (197-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206-86, college: Boise St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Five Tln Kalev players scored in double figures. Latvian forward Maris Laksa (205-81, college: Providence) answered with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Kaido Saks (205-86) added 16 points in the effort for BC Rakvere. Tln Kalev maintains eighth place with 7-21 record. BC Rakvere lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with nine games lost. Tln Kalev are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Hito/Johvi (#9) on the road in the next round. BC Rakvere will play against KK Parnu (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
