Everything went according to plan in Starogard where first ranked Polpharma (14-11) won against 5th ranked Kotwica (6-19) 86-69 on Thursday. The game without a history. Polpharma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Polpharma had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Serbian power forward Uros Mirkovic (205-82, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Sean Mosley (193-89, college: Maryland) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Grzegorz Arabas (190-78, agency: Promotex) added 13 points respectively. Polpharma will face Start Gdynia (#5) on the road in the next round. Kotwica will play against Siarka Jezioro in Tarnobrzeg.
