No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Olympique Antibes (16-12) beat at home 10th ranked Aix-Maurienne (14-14) 70-64 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-64. It was a very good performance for American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 steals. The other American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Erroyl Bing (198-82, college: E.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Cameroonian Joachim Ekanga-Ehawa (187-77) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Aix-Maurienne. Four Aix-Maurienne players scored in double figures. Olympique Antibes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Fos Ouest and Rouen. Aix-Maurienne at the other side keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Olympique Antibes will face bottom-ranked Charleville-Mezieres (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Aix-Maurienne will play against Saint-Quentin (#13).
