Regular Season Round 23: Forca Lleida - FCB Regal II 83-76

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked FCB Regal II (10-13) lost on the road to ninth ranked Lleida Basquet (10-13) 83-76 on Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But FCB Regal II won fourth quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Pierre Oriola (206-92) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. point guard Daniel Rodriguez (182-84) accounted for 6 points and 13 assists for the winning side. Power forward Andreu Matali (204-81) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Alfonso Alzamora (206-79) added 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for FCB Regal II in the defeat. FCB Regal II's coach Borja Comenge let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lleida Basquet moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated FCB Regal II. Lleida Basquet will meet Ourense (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. FCB Regal II will play against the league's leader River Andorra (#1) and hope to secure a win.
