Regular Season Round 19: Batumi - STU Tbilisi 86-75

Bottom-ranked STU (0-17) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 86-75 loss to ninth ranked Batumi (5-13) in Batumi. 31 personal fouls committed by STU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Lasha Keshelava (200-81) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Nika Ramishvili (179-94) accounted for 26 points for the winning side. Four Batumi players scored in double figures. Forward Tato Chachibaia (201-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Giorgi Pirvelashvili (201-88) added 17 points respectively for STU in the defeat. STU's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Batumi maintains ninth place with 5-13 record. STU lost their seventeenth game in a row. They still closes the standings. Batumi will have a break next round. STU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Samedicino-Academia.
