Regular Season Round 24: Kings - Crocodiles 81-74
Date: March 22, 2013
Not a big story in a game in Sydney where 7th ranked Townsville Crocodiles (10-18) were defeated by fifth ranked Kings (12-16) 81-74. Kings outrebounded Townsville Crocodiles 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by American forward Darnell Lazare (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) who scored that evening 21 points and the former international guard Aaron Bruce (190-84) supported him with 16 points and 6 assists. Kings' coach Shane Heal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by the former international center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) did not help to save the game for Townsville Crocodiles. The former international swingman Peter Crawford (193-79) added 21 points. Four Kings and five Townsville Crocodiles players scored in double figures. Kings moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tigers. Townsville Crocodiles at the other side keep the seventh position with 18 games lost.
