We should mention about the upset which took place in Sao Paulo, where higher ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (20-10) lost to fifteenth ranked Palmeiras (10-20) in a road game 83-89 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Paschoalotto/Bauru. Paschoalotto/Bauru trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 31-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-89 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Caleb Brown (182-87, college: Austin Peay St.) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. point guard Arthur Pecos (182-95) chipped in 17 points. American forward DeAndre Coleman (201-86, college: S.Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and guard Ricardo Fischer (185-91) added 10 points and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Five Palmeiras and four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Palmeiras moved-up to fourteenth place. Paschoalotto/Bauru at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Palmeiras will face Tijuca TC (#17) in Rio de Janeiro in the next round. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play at home against Paulistano (#9) in Sao Paolo.
