Very important is a road loss of second ranked Strasbourg IG (16-8) against tenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (12-12) on Saturday night. Visiting Strasbourg IG was defeated by Entente Orleans 45 in a tough game in Orleans 81-89. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Entente Orleans 45 made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brian Greene (204-81, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 4 steals and the other American import guard Christopher Hill (191-83, college: Michigan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who added 19 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international center Alexis Ajinca (215-88, agency: Priority Sports) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and American-Dominican swingman Ricardo Greer (197-78, college: Pittsburgh) scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Strasbourg IG's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Dijon and Nanterre. Loser Strasbourg IG keeps the second position with eight games lost. They share it with Chalon. Entente Orleans 45 will meet league's leader Gravelines-Dunkerque on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Strasbourg IG will play against Boulazac Basket and hope to secure a win.
