Seventh-ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (12-30) gave a tough game to first ranked Aishin Sea Horses (34-8) in Kariya. Aishin Sea Horses managed to secure only three-point victory 56-53. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Mitsubishi Dolphins took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Aishin Sea Horses had a 13-7 second period charge getting the lead and Mitsubishi Dolphins were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 53-56. Aishin Sea Horses dominated on the defensive end, holding Mitsubishi Dolphins to just 7 points in second quarter. The former international point guard Shinsuke Kashiwagi (183-81) nailed 16 points for the winning side and guard Ryoma Hashimoto (178-88) accounted for 7 points. Bahamas power forward Magnum Rolle (211-86, college: Louisiana Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Alexis Minatoya (191-88) added 18 points respectively for Mitsubishi Dolphins in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Aishin Sea Horses. They maintain first place with 34-8 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins at the other side keep the seventh position with 30 games lost.
