No shocking result in a game when second ranked Ford Burgos (19-4) beat on the road 10th ranked Caceres Basket (9-14) 81-75 on Saturday. Caceres Basket trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 21-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-81 at the end of the game. Ford Burgos forced 24 Caceres Basket turnovers. Strangely Caceres Basket outrebounded Ford Burgos 38-20 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Lucas Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Naturalized Brazilian forward Marcus Vinicius Toledo (203-86) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Four Ford Burgos players scored in double figures. Australian-Dutch power forward Josh Duinker (210-89, college: Richmond) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American forward Antonio Pena (203-86, college: Villanova) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Caceres Basket in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ford Burgos have a solid series of four victories in a row. Ford Burgos maintains second place with 19-4 record behind leader Andorra. Caceres Basket at the other side keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Planasa NV.
