Top ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (16-7) recorded its seventh loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked JSF Nanterre (12-12) 98-89. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. JSF Nanterre outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 36-22 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Colombian power forward Juan Palacios (204-85) who scored 19 points. American forward Chris Oliver (198-85, college: Radford) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-FYR Macedonian swingman Kennedy Winston (198-84, college: Alabama) who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Dwight Buycks (190-89, college: Marquette) added 14 points respectively. Five JSF Nanterre and four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Dijon and Orleans. Gravelines-Dunkerque at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. JSF Nanterre is looking forward to face higher ranked Paris-Levallois (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
