Regular Season Round 24: Le Mans - Limoges 77-69

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Limoges CSP Elite (10-14) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Le Mans (14-10) 77-69 on Saturday. Limoges CSP Elite trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 23-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-77 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was FYR Macedonian-American point guard Darius Washington (188-85, college: Memphis) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Cuthbert Victor (197-83, college: Murray St.) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) who recorded 9 points and 16 rebounds and naturalized Congolese forward Nobel Boungou Colo (202-88) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five Le Mans and four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Le Mans moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Limoges CSP Elite keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Le Mans will face STB Le Havre (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Limoges CSP Elite will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket.
