BJ League top team - Niigata Albirex (29-12) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Takamatsu FA (15-27) 94-77. The game without a history. Niigata Albirex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Niigata Albirex outrebounded Takamatsu FA 42-20 including a 13-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont, agency: Top Notch Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Yuichi Ikeda (192-83) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Niigata Albirex went down to second position due to points difference. Takamatsu FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 27 games lost. Niigata Albirex's next round opponent will be again Takamatsu FA (#8) at home which should be theoretically an easy game.
