Regular Season Round 27: St Chamond - Quimper 69-63

We should mention about the upset which took place in Saint Chamond, where higher ranked Quimper UJAP (14-10) lost to twelfth ranked Saint Chamond (10-14) in a road game 63-69 on Saturday. Saint Chamond looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Tyray Pearson (201-80, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) helped adding 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) with 25 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Etienne Plateau (192-86) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Saint Chamond moved-up to eleventh place. Quimper UJAP lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Saint Chamond will meet league's leader Orchesien BC in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Quimper UJAP will play against Souffelweyersheim (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
