The most exciting game of round 21 in the A1 took place in Rethymno. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed PAOK (16-5) to fifth ranked AGOR (14-7) 66-64 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of PAOK. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. AGOR had a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Brent Petway (204-85, college: Michigan) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international forward Nestoras Kommatos (203-77) contributed with 7 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. AGOR's coach Stergios Koufos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Evaggelis Margaritis (200-82) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Kostas Haralampidis (189-76) added 19 points and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for PAOK. AGOR have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 14-7 record. PAOK at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Panionios. AGOR are looking forward to face league's leader Olympiacos in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PAOK will play at home against Ilysiakos in Athens and is hoping to win this game.
