There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Osaka Evessa (16-25) defeated on the road 7th ranked Sendai 89ers (16-25) 56-52 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 13-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) who led his team to a victory with 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Forward Nathan Walkup (200-88, college: Texas A&M, agency: SDJ Sports) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Worth to mention Walkup played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA, agency: Top Notch Sports) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific) added 3 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Sendai 89ers. Sendai 89ers' coach Robert Pierce tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Osaka Evessa have an impressive series of six victories in a row.
