Very expected game when 16th ranked Poitiers (7-17) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Chalon/Saor (16-8) 84-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Chalon/Saor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Shelden Williams (206-83, college: Duke) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan Aboudou (198-91) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ahmad Nivins (206-87, college: St.Joseph's) who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international power forward Pape Badiane (207-80, college: Cleveland St.) added 5 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalon/Saor have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Strasbourg. Poitiers lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost.
